Gradients
The reference profile defines the minimum required information to indicate the degree of inclination (i.e. gradient or slope) of road network links.
This is typically expressed as the maximum gradient along a specific link to identify potential restrictions for certain vehicle classes. The provided data may also indicate the direction of the gradient—positive for ascent and negative for descent—offering insight into the elevation change along the direction of travel.
There is no reference profile in DATEX II for gradients.
